This particaular song is rather girly and has a upbeat tempo to it, it has the potential to be a good music video has it has a very strong narrative in the song, if i chose to use this video i would want it to be a performance and narrative based video having the main charter performance being in a carpark and her singing to him the narrative however will show her boyfriend slip away from her.
About A Girl- The Academy Is
This song has potential to be a good music video as the tempo is upbeat video the song is about a boy who is denying he is in love with a girl even though he is showing the signs that he is, he doesn't want to admit to being in love and therefore says "this is not my heart"
For ideas for a video we could have a narrative and performance the narrative being a boy trying to impress a girl by doing gestures and him being shot down over and over again till he gives up at the end of the video.

Katy Perry- One Of The Boys Katy Perry album One of the Boys album cover is complete opposite of the albums name. Katy Perry’s name is at the top of the album of the second layer of the image in pink with an outline of while bubbly writing, around her name is tiny white stars being in pink is a very famine colour and contrast with the title of the album being One of the Boys.
The image is set in a garden with the artist being shown on the cover. The artist is being featured as this is her first album and has not built up a reputation not to show her on her album cover. In the image she is looking directly at the camera to make the audience feel connected to her.
Katy is wearing girly clothes to keep with the girly theme; they are also in the time period of the 1950’s showing that she is no afraid to express her self or her music.

The Academy Is... The album cover for The academy is.. Album fast time at Barrington high, this album is the bands third album, therefore as you can see the band don’t need to have a image of themselves on the cover of the album as they have already created a fan base that would by their album again.
Instead this albums main image is of a man and women but cuts of at their head. You can tell it is a man and women as the mise en scene they have used makes it clear, the women is wearing flip flops with her toe nails painted red, her trousers are also a little shorter than normal trousers which are made for women. On her wrist as well is a hair band again showing that she is a woman. Further more as the images of the man and the women stops at their shoulders the women blonde hair is longer than shoulder length their for establishing that she is a women.
The man however is wearing typical men clothes trainers and trousers these trousers are checked which shows that he may be individual who doesn’t mind to standout. Looking at the image shows the man legs turned away from the women’s, his hands are clasped together, his body seems to be facing away from hers. The album cover is for Demi Lovato’s album, Don’t Forget. Demi Lovato’s music genre is mainly pop/rock but looking at this image you can tell the artist is focusing on the rock side of her genre this is apparent from the colours that have been used in the image black and red, the title of her album is written over and over again in black writing and looks like someone has painted it on the first layer of the image. Repeating the title of her album and the way that it has been written on the image makes people remember the name of the album clearly, it is also the name of one of the tracks featured on the album that was released as a single, therefore promoting that particular single.
The second layer of the image is the artist; the artist in this case has been featured on the front cover of the album, using solely the artist and no other images establishes Demi Lovatos solo music career as this was her first album it would make the consumer remember her for any future albums.
The image of Demi is a long shot showing her holding a guitar again reinforcing her music to be more rock than pop in this album, her very dark clothing makes her stand out from the white background and makes her name stand out as well. How ever she is wearing a white jacket over her black top, the white jacket make her stand out from the black writing of the album’s title underneath her. In the image of her it shows Demi wearing black leather gloves again showing the rock of her album and image.
The image of Demi shows her looking down but directly at the camera showing that she is in power of her music, looking down at the camera also shows that she is serious about her music career too.
The third layer of the image is the artists name in red, using red over the black writing underneath makes it stand out, again this is for the consumer to remember her name and who she is as she would be most famous for acting in Disney people may call her, her characters name, using the red against the black makes Demi Lovato’s name stand out.
The album cover is rockier and darker than some people may of expected from the Disney star, the audience might have been expecting a more of an clean cut image for her album cover than it is. The album cover does set in store what the album sounds like this is done by the image being different to what people may associate her by. Demi first album was to create a fan base and to interest people in her music who may not normally listen to Disney artists this was created by the album image being different from her normal clean cut image.
